Function:
A 3″ laminated stainless steel bolt and complete stainless steel construction makes the heavy duty MS1950P MS® Deadlock a higher security, premium locking solution for swinging doors. The MS1950P is compatible with header and threshold bolts to accommodate multi-point locking in a double door application. The stainless steel hook bolt of the MS1950P-X5X Series MS® Deadlock answers the security need of sliding doors. The hook shaped bolt resists the parting motion of sliding door and jamb.
Operation:
For ingress, a 360˚ turn of the key or thumbturn on the exterior cylinder retracts the counterbalanced bolt. While the bolt is retracted the door acts as a passage function, until the deadlock is re-locked from either side of the opening. Typically, if the door remains unlocked during business hours, the interior side is equipped with a mortise cylinder and indicator to allow for flexible traffic control by management. An interior thumbturn to lock the bolt and a 4550 lever can also be installed on the interior side to ensure free egress & ADA compliance. Key can be removed only when bolt is in a locked or unlocked state. Lock body accepts a mortise cylinder, thumbturn, 4089 indicator, or 4550 deadlock lever from either side.
